Station Name: Station was named for the former department secretary in the Department of Meteorology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Elaine AWS - Station and repair histories:

29 January 2005 - Site visited. Elaine could not be located, and was declared buried and lost. An entirely new station was installed, with the new id number of 8987. The sensor boom was placed 3.66 m above the surface.
